Your 4th essay is a Literary Analysis essay that must be 4 complete pages in length.
You must write a literary analysis of the movie, PARASITE.
Consider the following questions:
Who is the true parasite in this film?
What are the film’s themes?
Are people born mischevious and ‘criminal’, or does circimstance influence this?
What could the director be trying to tell the audience about class?
What is the message of the film?
How does the message(s) of this film relate to modern American society?
You must incorporate and apply at least three literary terms in your essay.
Your essay must incorporate at least two secondary sources. This is, in other words, trusted, reliable sources that will help your analysis. This could be a quality review, a scholarly analysis, an interview with the director, or a contextual article.
You must also incorporate your primary source, which is PARASITE. The movie – whether it be dialogue or scenes – should be quoted or paraphrased at least once in your essay.
Write in 3rd person. No ‘I’s or ‘you’.
DO NOT SUMMARIZE or RETELL any elements of the movie or story.
