First of all, research a topic in Premodern or Modern Chinese history depending on if you are attending Asia 200 or 210. The topic can be anything related to historical events or people in premodern China or India from 0 to 1600 CE for ASIA 200 ; or a modern topic in Chinese history for ASIA 210. You must prepare a well reasoned presentation, showing you have done some research (not on Wikipedia or similar) you need to read books and articles on your topic (J Stor is a good source for articles and is available on the College Library website).
2. After you choose your topic, you must have a thesis question and reply in the presentation to that question by using the articles that support your claim.
3. Suggestions: You can work on one aspect of a ruler a dynasty or an event in a chosen dynasty.
4. Make sure that you do the research and try to present an aspect that you think it is interesting of your topic. The presentation must be 5 minutes and can be done using zoom with video while you are speaking by presenting the PPT of your research.
5. I will evaluate your presentation in this way: a) your topic and debate on it; b) easy or difficult to tackle; 3) your way of presenting it in a coherent manner with appropriate slides and explanations. And 4} your sources (you must choose academic articles and books).
