Journal Entry Three Instructions
Third Journal Entry:
Working toward your goal- Strengthening old, nurturing current, building
new relationships.
Name at least three roles you currently play that relate to
your project. (Examples: parent,
spouse, friend, co-worker)
Describe how the accomplishment of your PIP will impact these,
Roles.
Will you be exposed to new cultures, circles of friends,
support groups? No
What kind of “family” support do you have for this change?
Do you anticipate making a new set of friends? No
Describe your idea of the” ideal climate” you will find
yourself in as you accomplish your goal.
How does the concept of communication climate relate to your
topic?
Give examples of the type of people who will be in this
climate.
Will these people differ from your current friends and colleagues,
if so, how?
What are potential areas of conflict that you might
encounter?
How will you address these conflicts?
Identify the possibility of both negative and positive
outcomes from these conflicts.
Give examples of at least three interpersonal relationships
that you have that impact the accomplishment your PIP goal.
Do you see the relationships changing?
What can you do to enhance your success in new
relationships?
5. Identify
within your answers at least three resources you reviewed in researching your
PIP topic which influenced your responses to the above. Analyze how these
sources impacted your answers and point out the major “take-aways”
from the information. References must be from sources other than required text
and weekly learning material.
