● Watch video of mock interview questions (found within folder). After watching, video record your responses to the posed questions and evaluate your interview skills (make sure to be in appropriate dress as if this were an in-person interview). Please note that your video response will not be critiqued.
o Videos must be uploaded to the Voice Thread tab (found in assignments) or directly to Gradebook (also found in the assignments tab). Voice Thread allows you to directly record your video from your computer to BlackBoard (it is public and others can see your video).
● Write reflection of mock interview experience. Include title page, APA guidelines. Since this is a reflection, student is allowed to write in first person. Paper must be written as a reflection, it is not appropriate to list question prompts and simply respond with answer. Paper should be formatted as a scholarly work.
● Written reflection to include discussion of the following questions:
How was your non-verbal behavior when responding to questions?
i. Address concepts related to: eye contact, body posture, motor activity (were you moving around a lot, did you stay too still?)
ii.Did you notice any non-verbal behaviors that you did not recognize you were doing when responding?
How were your verbal responses to the interview questions?
iii. Address concepts related to: Cadence of speech (did you talk too fast, slow, or appropriate rate), did you articulate well or was your speech slurred and/or mumbled, did you repeat yourself with stalling words (words such as umm, so, etc).
What question was the hardest for you to answer, why? How could you enhance/change your answer if someone were to ask this again during an interview?
Summarize your overall experience to the mock interview. Did you learn anything that can be applied to future interviews?
